Armed with plenty of props and skills we'll aim in the direction of king pigeon pose (eka pada rajakapotasana) and forearm stand (pincha mayurasana) - two poses with the arms overhead. We will pair stabilizing the body with mobility to move into the steadiness of "center” (heart). Shoulders, back ribs, core and hamstrings will be part of this journey, integrating the whole body and empowering your inversions and backbends.
Expect a blend of vinyasa flow, drills, and discussion, all presented with precision and warmth. It's inevitable that Sandy will weave in spiritual teachings from yoga. You do not need to be able to do forearm stand or king pigeon - wherever you are at we'll be mapping the path forward, though participants should have an established yoga practice and be able to bear weight in the shoulders pain-free. This workshop is limited to 20 people.
