An injury led Sandy to the mat, but it was the profound experiential shifts that made her fall in love with yoga.

Understanding the relationship between the state of the body and the state of the mind, and these together as an access point to consciousness and joy ignited immediate passion. Sandy completed her 200-hour RYT certification under David Magone (PranaVayu Yoga) in 2014, followed by advanced teacher training with Ame Wren (The Boston Yoga School). She is humbled to study Bhakti yoga with Raghunath in both the US and India, and to benefit from the teaching and mentorship of Caitlyn Visconte. Sandy values study of traditional yoga history and philosophy to connect what she experiences as a practitioner with what she shares as a teacher.

Dedication to these practices and the resultant insight have shaped the course of Sandy’s life.

Classes are physically challenging yet within reach for wide range of abilities. By drawing awareness inwards and feeling all of the energy within you, she sees asana as an invitation to work through your physical body, to ultimately understand who you are beyond your body. Expect a vinyasa experience infused with relatable Yoga teachings, playfulness, and attention to physical technique and alignment. Sandy draws from traditional context, conveyed through modern inspiration from a range of movement styles, art, science, language, and philosophies.

She believes that authenticity & awakening are cultivated and sustained through inquiry: yoga does not give easy answers, rather it requires something of us. And, simply clearing the space to move with your breath is a great starting point. "In my breath, I am home."
